Said Min. Alfano to the Ambassadors of the Arab League States accredited in Italy.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting offered a good opportunity to take stock of the major themes of common interest and was followed by the celebration of the Iftar dinner at Villa Madama in the evening, which was also attended by representatives of the Muslim community.<\/p>\n<p>The talks focused especially on the position of the Arab Countries on the Middle East Peace Process, in respect of which the Foreign Minister reaffirmed Italy\u2019s position in favour of the two-State solution and the resumption of negotiations. Mr Alfano said: \u201cThe two-State prospect, the only truly viable one, is in the interest of both Parties and \u2013 in addition to the fact that it reflects the legitimate aspiration to self-determination of the Palestinian people \u2013 is the one that can best ensure stability in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.consgerusalemme.esteri.it\/Consolato_Gerusalemme\/resource\/doc\/2017\/05\/18738668_1502265163137536_4276050984230551115_o.jpg\" width=\"743\" height=\"442\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Rome, 30 May &#8220;The two-States Solution is the only truly viable one&#8221;.
