The &#8220;certificato penale&#8221; can be requested in person by the interested party or by a person specifically authorised to act on their behalf. The request can only be made in Italy, at the local Court Record Office of the Public Prosecutor\u2019s Office of any town (Ufficio Locale del Casellario presso la Procura della Repubblica), irrespective of the place of birth or residence of the interested party.<\/p>\n<p>The<strong> \u201ccertificato dei carichi pendenti\u201d<\/strong>, on the other hand, is a document that shows a person\u2019s pending criminal proceedings. This certificate can be requested in person by the interested party or by a person specifically authorised to act on their behalf.
