Declaration of Value

The "Declaration of Value" is a document that certifies the value of a qualification obtained in an educational system different from the Italian one. It is written in Italian and issued by the Italian Diplomatic Representatives abroad (Embassies / Consulates) "competent by area", that is, to the closest city in which the institution issuing the foreign title is located.
If the country in which the certificate was issued signed the Hague Convention (October 5, 1961), the "Apostille" must be affixed to the title before requesting the Declaration of Value.
The Consular Section receives requests only by appointment, to be requested by e-mail: consolare.gerusalemme@esteri.it
Declaration of value for proven reasons of study are issued free of charge, while reasons of work or any other require a small fee.
To obtain a declaration of value, the following is required:
application form duly completed and signed by the interested person
• photocopy of a valid identity document (Identity card and passport)
• certified copy of the original title or of the legalized academic certificate and its translation into Italian.
