Certificates issued in Italy to be used in Jerusalem or Palestine

The Consulate General of Italy in Jerusalem cannot legalize or validate certificates or official documents issued in Italy to be used in Jerusalem or in Palestine.

Therefore those who want to assert a document or a certificate issued in Italy has to:


a) For Italian documents to be used in Jerusalem:
- legalize the signature of the Public Officer who issued the document by the local Prefecture through the Apostille;
- Have the documents translated into Hebrew or English by a sworn translator, whose signature must also be legalized through Apostille by the local Prefecture.

b) For Italian documents to be used in Palestine:
- legalize the signature of the Public Officer who issued the document legalized by the Embassy of Palestine in Rome;
- Have the documents translated into Arabic or English by a sworn translator, whose signature must also be legalized by the Embassy of Palestine in Rome;
