Italy and Jerusalem

The Consulate General is responsible for maintaining the relationships that the Italian Government has with the Palestinian authorities. Such collaboration involves political relationships, dialogue with local authorities and civil society, economic relations and cultural cooperation, as well as development assistance.

The Consulate General also provides assistance to Italian nationals in Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. This includes the Italian Jewish community of Jerusalem, the Italian nationals engaged in international cooperation, the numerous religious figures of Italian nationality, the Italian personnel working for international missions, and all other Italian nationals who live here or who are just visiting.

The Consulate has offices both in west and east Jerusalem, where the Agency for Italian Development Cooperation (AICS) is located.
